Communication and Collaborating with Social Media
Communication between teacher and student has improved through the years thanks to technology and social media. As a student if you go home and start working on an assignment but get stuck or lost along the way your teacher is an email away.
As a teacher you can create a virtual class using Wikis or a Web/Blogging site. By creating a website the materials taught in class can be posted for students reference. With Wiki the students can use online discussion and help each other out along the way; this in turns creates a closer more positive community in the classroom.
Teaching has now gone beyond the classroom. This is valuable for students that do not have the individual attention needed at home to help with assignments. Also by sharing the information not only with student but with parents there will be a higher success rate that the materials will be learned and understood. Students will have a deeper comprehension and more motivated to learn.
